Studio Policies

It happens. Traffic. Delays. Life. If you are late, please enter as quickly and quietly as possible, keeping distractions to a minimum. For the comfort and safety of our teachers and students, we lock the front door 2 minutes after class starts. If you arrive after the door is locked you will incur a $10 no-show fee. Email us at hello@greensboropoweryoga with any questions.
-
Studio doors open 15 minutes before class starts and close 15 minutes after class ends. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class so the Teacher and Ambassador have ample time to prepare the space. This is particularly key during quick turnarounds between classes. Kindly avoid crowding the practice room door. If you are showering or changing after class, please be mindful of the time.
-
Please place your phone in your cubby and silence your smartwatch. If you anticipate an emergency and need your phone during class, let the teacher know beforehand. We LOVE when you tag us in selfies! Just be sure to snap them before or after class
-
If you have your own equipment, great! If not, we’ve got you covered.
We have mats, towels and blocks available for you to use free of charge. We also have a water fountain for you to use to refill your water bottle.
We also have all of the above available for purchase in studio when you’re ready to invest in your practice.
-
Shoes track dirt into the studio. Because we practice on the floor, it is nice to have a clean space. Many yoga studios have a place for your shoes by the front door (we have cubbies right when you walk in!). Since people will be walking around the studio barefoot, it is most hygienic if everyone takes off their outdoor shoes first thing. You will appreciate the clean floor.
-
When you enter a new yoga class, you agree to respect and listen to the teacher for the duration of the class. You may find that you don’t like the teacher, the style of yoga, or the person on the mat next to you, but it is good etiquette to stay through Savasana, and to not leave early. If you ever do need to leave early, please tell the teacher before class.
-
If you are a beginner in an advanced or all-level class, it is quite appropriate to take more basic and accessible versions of a pose. However, if you have a more advanced practice and feel compelled to up-level a pose, please be mindful of your neighbors and respectful of the pose or sequence the teacher is instructing. For example, no headstands while the rest of the class is in eagle.
-
Your final relaxation in Savasana is an important part of your practice. Don’t plan to leave class early. The beginning and end of class are particularly important parts of this sequence and it’s important to experience (and enjoy) the entire process. If you must, tell the teacher in advance and set up near the door to minimize class disruption.
-
Please tell us about pre-existing injuries, illnesses, pregnancy, or medical conditions in the 5-10 minutes BEFORE class. We can modify your practice for your safety, and to help you enjoy your practice more.
-
Drink lots of water, before and after class. The majority of our classes are in 90 degree rooms, and this will make you sweat. Even if you are not practicing in a warm room, you will practice poses that cleanse the lymphatic and immune systems. It is a good idea to replenish the body with lots of water after a yoga practice. There is a filtered water fountain located inside the main studio.
-
It’s okay to smell good, but no so nice to get a big lungful of the perfume from someone three mats away. We work in a small space and breathe deeply… save the fragrance for after class.
-
Always work at your own pace and listen to your body. Your body will communicate with you if you listen… and part of your yoga practice, your truth, or satya, is paying attention and doing what is right and true for you on a given day. Let go of ego, of competition… and just be.

We request 30 days written notice to cancel any membership and we reserve the right to deny cancellation requests submitted less than 72 hours in advance of renewal.
In accordance with the FTC’s new “Click to Cancel” rule and Mindbody’s updated terms, we will honor all cancellation requests submitted through our designated communication channels.
To initiate a cancellation, simply email us at hello@greensboropowerstudios.com. A member of our team will follow up with you personally to confirm your cancellation and discuss any options that may better suit your needs—whether it’s pausing, switching membership types, or exploring class pass alternatives.
We do not process cancellations through your Mindbody account. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via the methods above to ensure we have the opportunity to support your transition and gather any feedback.
We’re here to help you stay connected to your goals—and we’d love to find a way to make that work for you.

Please arrive at least 2 minutes before class starts; otherwise, the teacher may give your spot to a student who is present. If you must cancel, please do so at least 2 hours before class to avoid a $10 late cancellation or no-show fee. Waitlists are "locked" 2 hours before class, at which point spots become available to anyone. If there is a waitlist, kindly limit yourself to one class per day.escription
